We affectionately call each other Schenkers and Manfriend. We’re not glamorous, and you won’t see us jetting off in private planes or posing [awkwardly] in designer labels. We’re not classically trained chefs, wine sommeliers, or professional photographers.
We’re real people, excited to share our real adventures – the good, the bad, and the bizarre. We love to travel, yet have very different ways of doing it. I like to make a plan to ensure we don’t miss anything (why go all that way if we could miss out on something?), while Manfriend would rather get to where we’re going and then wander and stumble upon unique places. Over the past 4+ years we’ve found a good balance between the two.
The one thing we both agree on – we walk as much as possible to experience everything a new place has to offer.
This blog will talk about our adventures and the amazing places we’ve seen, things we’ve eaten and drunk, and people we’ve met. We’re Millennials, so we want it all, but can’t always afford it all. As we give our best shot at this thing called “adulting,” we save our pennies to escape real life and explore other cultures. We’re excited to share our travels with you!
