The Manfriend and I are moving to SLC or a year – my company is opening a new office, so we’re heading to the Silicon Slopes to launch it! Neither of us have lived somewhere other than New England for longer than a few months even though we’ve always wanted to. No house, no kids, no major responsibilities… now’s the time to do it!

37 hours of driving time over three days brought us past 5 states of corn fields, across the Mississippi River, and from crisp fall to frigid winter climates. Manfriend did ALL of the driving (he’s a champ!), and we arrived Wednesday afternoon with plenty of time to unpack our moving truck and say goodbye to my in-laws who helped us with the move.

Getting used to the two hour time difference has been interesting – it’s been a lot of 4 a.m. wake ups for me (I’m an early bird, but that’s excessive), and Daylight Savings happens on Sunday… sleep won’t be a thing for a while apparently.

• Bonneville Salt Flats – walk & drive across; see the International Speedway races (Sept. 2020)
• Great Salt Lake – swimming!
• Ski – Park City is only 45 minutes away
• Hike – there’s so many hikes within a 20 minute drive from where we are, and we need to prep for the Grand Canyon!
